Desert Relic Series
Each image in this series begins as a photographic emulsion lifted from its original print and transferred
onto glass — a fragile layer of memory suspended in transparency. The glass rests on stands
handcrafted from desert remnants: weathered wood, dried cactus skeletons, and found materials
shaped by time and sun. Together, they merge image, light, and landscape — transforming
photographs into artifacts of place. Each piece becomes not only a record of the desert but a part of it,
where the boundaries between photograph, object, and environment dissolve.
Each piece is an individual commission - you pick the image Ken makes the Art. Each one is a one of one. The images available are in this gallery and there are some samples of the finished piece.
