Conceptual Photography

Conceptual photography begins with an idea rather than a moment waiting to be found. Ken builds each image through planning, lighting, photography and detailed post-production, combining multiple elements into a finished work with its own atmosphere and narrative.

These photographs draw on fantasy, mythology, history, conflict and the darker corners of imagination. The same creative process can be applied to commissioned work: Ken can develop a stylized portrait or commercial image around a story, character or theme.
