Answers about On the Wall Art Preview Studio, including installation, honest sizing, artwork storage, exports, pricing, updates, and support.
What is On the Wall?
On the Wall is a simple art-mockup tool for placing your own artwork or photography into professionally prepared room scenes. It is designed to help you preview scale, create sales mockups, and make social-ready images without learning complicated design software.
Who is it for?
It is built for artists, photographers, print sellers, galleries, and other creators who need a fast way to show artwork in a room.
Is it an App Store app?
No download from an app store is required. On the Wall is an installable web app. Open it in a supported browser, then add it to your phone or tablet home screen. You can also use it directly in a browser on a computer.
What devices can I use?
On the Wall works on modern phones, tablets, and computers. A current version of Safari, Chrome, Edge, or another modern browser is recommended.
How does honest sizing work?
Enter the real width and height of the artwork. Each included room is calibrated to its stated wall and ceiling dimensions so the artwork is displayed in proportion to the room. It is a useful visual planning tool, though real rooms and camera perspective can still vary.
Can I upload artwork or take a photo with my phone?
Yes. You can choose an image already on your device or use your device camera when the browser offers that option.
Can I change the frame, mat, and branding?
Yes. Current frame choices include none, black, white, and natural wood. Mat choices include none, white, and black. You can also add your logo, studio name, website, and accent color to exported mockups.
What can I export?
You can create still-image mockups in portrait, square, story/reel, and clean-room formats. These are sized for common website and social-media uses. Video export is not included in the current public version.
Where are my artwork and settings stored?
They are stored locally in the browser on the device you are using. Your artwork is not uploaded to an On the Wall cloud library.
Does it include an account or cloud sync?
Not in the current version. Libraries do not automatically sync between devices or browsers.
How do backup and restore work?
Use Backup Library to save a portable backup file, then Restore Library to bring that saved library back. Keep your original artwork files as well. Clearing browser storage, removing the app, or changing devices can remove locally stored data if you do not have a backup.
Can I use the exported mockups to market my work?
Yes. You may use exports to market artwork that you own or are authorized to represent. The app, source code, and included room assets may not be copied, resold, or redistributed.
What does the $39 founding price include?
It is a one-time purchase for the version delivered to you, plus twelve months of included updates. There is no automatic subscription or renewal. If a larger future edition or optional upgrade is offered, you may choose whether to upgrade or keep using the version you purchased.
Are digital purchases refundable?
Because access is delivered digitally, purchases are generally final once access has been delivered. If delivery fails or a material problem caused by us cannot be corrected, contact us so we can make it right under the current terms.
What support is included?
Founding customers receive reasonable email support for installation and use. Support does not include guaranteed response times or custom development.
What is coming next?
Additional rooms and improved creative tools are being explored and tested. Feedback helps shape the roadmap, but unreleased features and timing can change.
